  • Be a Productive Commuter with Online Training Courses

Don’t be the only one sleeping on the commuter train or bus; be a productive commuter by taking online training courses on your smart phone, MP3 player or tablet computer.

Gone are the days when your commute was the perfect time to catch an extra 40 winks. Now, you can get the training you need to get ahead in your job by downloading online training courses onto your device of choice. You can even use your snazzy e-reader to learn the latest about your industry – if you can bear to part with that mass market “paperback”. You don’t have to think of that time spent getting from home to work and back again as time wasted. Get in your training while you ride; you’ll arrive at work more knowledgeable, and you’ll come home relaxed and ready to enjoy a little “me” time.

  • Online Training: a Not-So-Common Solution for Common Sense Safety

If you want to be on the cutting edge of something new and exciting, consider online training courses to help your employees recognize common sense solutions for workplace safety.

Ditch the old fashioned workplace safety lectures and videos that bore the life out of your employees. Give them an alternative to sacrificing valuable chunks of time in their days and decreasing their productivity. Cut back on expenses by allowing your regional employees to stay put and complete necessary workplace safety training with online training. But, most importantly, get the message across that common sense is the way to avoid accidents in the workplace.

Choose from Webinars, Podcast and on-demand streaming, so employees can work this valuable online training into their schedules. And, above all, spare everyone from all those cheesy “fun” videos that are just embarrassing!

  • Do you have Wedding Planning Expertise?

Have you ever thought about taking or creating an LMS certification course in wedding planning?

At a wedding I helped set up last summer, I remember talking to people who had planned their own weddings. During the setup they felt a strong desire to give their advice and suggestions. They said that after planning such a challenging and time-consuming logistical and symbolic event, they were eager to share their knowledge. It's knowledge that very few people, except wedding planners or LMS wedding planning certification creators, ever use again.

Weddings have mushroomed to a multi-billion dollar industry. Each year in the U.S., there are around 2.5 million weddings, and none of them exactly the same.

Throughout history and socio-economic classes, weddings have traditionally been a special event that  people are willing to invest in perfecting.

  • Driving and LMS Courses: What do they have in Common?

When designing an LMS online training course, try to recall the last time you learned a new skill. I remember putting my mother through months of panicking at intersections and cutting off other drivers.

The very first time I got behind a wheel, my father took me to an abandoned lot and we drove in circle after circle. I remember thinking as I tried to maneuver around cones while practicing parallel parking: I am never going to be able to do this. And indeed, it took me quite a while to learn to drive.

Like driving or any other skill, everyone learns at their own pace. But none of us is born with the ability to drive or play the guitar, and that’s where pedagogical strategies enter into play—and your own knowledge and expertise as an LMS course creator.

Repetition and practice may be the only ways for knowledge to be truly digested in online training. The challenge lies in working repetition in an effective and engaging fashion.
